April showers bring May flowers...

So...question of the day: Who is your favorite Adio team member? Kenny Anderson maybe, or Danny Montoya? How about Steve Nesser? Ernie Torres or Ryan Bobier maybe...even Chris Troy? or maybe others? Well GUESS WHAT?

no...go ahead guess...I'll wait...

Well, you might have gotten it, I'll never tell, but that's correct. ADIO CHI-TOWN to MOTOWN TOUR coming to both our parks May 2009. Yup, in just three short weeks (May 20th in GR, May 22 in Royal Oak) you'll be able to throw down with the guys above, and more! More details to follow in the coming weeks, but just get ready. Dust off your Kenny V1s and get on that board. You gotta bring your A-game for these cats.

In recent park events, the Righteous Lives premier went premier-tastically. The video could be the best thing since sliced bread. Sorry folks, we're currently sold out, maybe next time you should heed my posts and get your self to our events so you don't miss out on the radness. Special thanks to DJ Sefon and the 61syx Teknique crew for partying with us afterwards during our after party skate session. Those boys can bust a move...don't sweat the technique.

This just in at the good ol shop: New DGK series, new Element youth Ts and decks, lots of awesome Consolidated merchandise...including the epic "Nike Sucks" decal. You gotta love Smart Monkey distribution for the willingness to get sued, if nothing else!

Alas, it's like a monsoon outside today...Never fear! Modern is always a warm and dry place to skate, inline and bike. Get your session on. Late.

Spring Break is in effect...

Winter weather advisory, bah! We've had some beautiful weather so far for Spring Break '09 and driving to work this morning it looks as though it'll stay that way for you all to enjoy the rest of your time off.

So what are you going to do with the rest of your week/weekend anyway?

Spring Skate Camp came to a close yesterday morning, *tear. I have to say it was a huge success, Mr. Shane McMahon and Mr. Matt Oz threw down in a style which Bobby Flay would be jealous (sorry, Food Network is one of my favorite things, second only to blogging). If you missed this one we will have three camps to look forward to this summer!

Hmm, camp is over, so now what?

Duh, the skate park is open for regular sessions for the rest of the week AND we're having a special late night session on Saturday night to help generate some funds for the street course remodel this summer.

The park opens at noon weekdays, sessions being 12-3, 330-630 and 630-930. Don't forget, if you run a bike, today's 630-930 session is special just for you. Saturday we have our group lesson from 930-11am, then sessions from 11-2, 230-530 and 6-9pm. This Saturday only, from 9-midnight we are having the fundraiser session. $10 bucks gets you skating the whole three hours (sorry, member rates do not apply to this fundraiser and rental fees will still apply) and don't forget your cash for the extra stuff we'll be having on sale that you can't get anywhere else!

Shop news!!! A brand new AWH shipment just arrived yesterday with new Plan B completes, Spitfire, Autobahn and Bones wheels, Baker, Deathwish, Chocolate, Girl, Krooked and Skatemental decks fresh off the presses. You gotta get here to check 'em out, remember it's nice out, they won't last long!!!
